This is the greatest pharmacy in the Washington DC area. I will never go anywhere else. I am the mother of 2 young children and have, out of habit, been going to CVS for years. My youngest child was recently sick and the doctor finally suggested that I buy, versus borrow, a nebulizer. The prescription was written for the machine and accompanying medication. After a long, difficult afternoon trying to get everything straight with CVS, I finally gave up. I called The Medicine Chest, 15 minutes before they were closing. They spoke directly with CVS, transfered all of the prescriptions over, stayed open late and filled every single one. They even gave me several nebulizer masks to make the process easier for my 4 year old to take the medication. I have since been back a couple of times and every time, the experience is the same - EXCEPTIONAL. They are helpful, knowledgeable and they recognize that getting a prescription likely means that someone is sick - so they are extra patient and caring.

Love this place: What a nice trip back in time...the pharmacist knows your name, one counter, small but not lacking in the essentials and then some. I feel very confident going there, knowing that competent people are handling my prescriptions and my prescription history. And they deliver! I highly recommend the Medicine Chest.

Knowledgeable and Accomodating: I called 100 pharmacies trying to locate the preservative free flu vaccine for my pregnant wife. Most did not know what I was talking about. Many lied and did not have what was asked for after I showed up there. None would order. Medicine Chest knew the story right away, ordered me the dose and was actually kind on the phone. This is a great place to start if you get stumped by the big guys.
